Job Objectives: Job Objectives: Objective 1: To ascertain the respect of the AAH Charter, AAH principles, and to represent AAH and its mandate To stress the mandate and Charter of AAH internally and externally To defend humanitarian principles towards partners (Gov, UN, NGOs) To maintain the public relations networking To participate in communication activities with HQ To initiate any advocacy and/or lobbying, if required Objective 2: To analyze the political, economic, humanitarian and social context of the country Data collection and research, analysis Development of an information network Support the coordinators, HoM assistant and heads of base in their analysis Issue regular sit-reps Objective 3: To ensure the security of AAH staff and AAH properties Identify, quantify and assess the risks Update security plans with HQ approval Stress the security rules to the teams Incident reports and crisis management Objective 4: To elaborate and adjust the AAH country strategy (technical, financial, HR), and to ensure its smooth implementation (follow up of the mission) To define the yearly operational and technical strategy with the teams To follow up the implementation of the programs To participate in proposal writing in collaboration with the coordination team To approve donors' proposals and reports To maintain regular relations with donors, authorities and partners To visit regularly programs and bases; To ensure proper using of the funds with the administrator; To ascertain the programs coherence. Objective 5: To supervise the overall human resources management of the mission Definition of the HR needs Approval of the job description for all management positions Briefing and debriefing of expatriates Conducts regular evaluations for the coordination team and the Head of Base Supervision to ensure regular evaluations for all other staff Stress management Conflict resolution Animation of the management team (team spirit and information sharing) Monthly expat points to HQ Regular meeting with the staff representatives Help the administrator in the management of the national human resources Validation of the HR guidelines and policies regarding the national staff To ensure a fair and efficient national staff management policy To ensure good respect of AAH Code of Conduct by all AAH staff - Applicant Requirements:
Qualifications: Education / specific degree / special skills : Advanced University degree (Masters Degree) preferably in political or social science Significant experience with INGO. Previous experience with AAH in crisis context is considered an asset. Experience in African context Good management skills (human resources management, project management, stress management) Good knowledge of donors' guidelines and procedures (ECHO, UN...) Ability to animate a team Diplomatic skills English, French necessary - Application instructions:
