Global Issues Magazine

Global Issues is a quarterly magazine focusing on a different global issue each term. The magazines are full colour including articles, photographs, cartoons, and charts. The magazine explores global issues as they relate to Aotearoa New Zealand and in particular to young people.

Global Perspectives: Handbooks For Global Educators

A free triennial teaching resource that provides educators with an easy-to-follow and practical overview of contemporary global issues. The resource compliments Global Issues magazine for students. It includes strategies and activities for exploring global issues within classroom settings. It is produced three times a year and is free to download from our website.

Small World Magazine

Small World is a magazine written for the 8-12 year age bracket, focusing on a different global issue for each term. In full colour with lots of images and activities, this magazine is great for explaining complex issues to younger minds.

Inkling Magazine: Youth voices on global issues

Global Focus Aotearoa is pleased to introduce a new annual resource, Inkling, that showcases youth perspectives on contemporary global issues. Inkling complements our existing publication series Global Issues, adding a valuable new dimension: youth voices.

Through Inkling, young writers from the Just Write programme hope to raise awareness about the issues they care about and to help create a culture where each of us understands our role as global citizens, who have rights AND responsibilities.
